Carlo Pavone è nato a Pescara.
Ex Macchinista FS, laureato in Lingue e Letterature Straniere, comincia a fotografare da giovanissimo, prediligendo il racconto, tramite le immagini, dei più famosi e riconoscibili luoghi letterari. E’ stato responsabile sella sezione Imaging della associazione anglo-italiana di cultura BRITANNIA. Oltre ai servizi sui suoi numerosi viaggi, si dedica da anni alla fotografia di scena, nell’ambito del jazz, teatro, danza e concerti. Collabora con vari teatri e festival internazionali. Ultima sua mostra è quella in Valtellina nell’ambito del VALTELLINA JAZZ FESTIVAL, dove ha portato le immagini di Pescara Jazz, festival internazionale, il primo nel genere in Europa. Ha realizzato diversi servizi per il mensile del TCI Quì Touring sulla linea ferroviaria Sulmona-Carpinone, la Transiberiana d’Italia, tra le ferrovie più belle d’Europa. E’ stato il coautore del libro CENTO ANNI DI ALTITUDINE in occasione del centenario della linea Sulmona-Carpinone, edito dalle Ferrovie dello Stato. Ha anche realizzato in passato numerosi servizi fotografici per la rivista D’ABRUZZO. Come responsabile del progetto SCUOLA-FERROVIA ha realizzato numerosi calendari e audiovisivi portati nelle scuole. Tra le più importanti mostre fotografiche allestite ci sono quelle per l’associazione Britannia -NO MAN IS AN ISLAND- quella su tutti i più importanti artisti internazionali venuti in Abruzzo- ABRUZZO ON STAGE- quella sui luoghi letterari in Russia -I LUOGHI DELL’ANIMA RUSSA- E’ in corso un allestimento di una mostra a Berlino sui più significativi luoghi d’Abruzzo. A Berlino ha già realizzato numerosi calendari sulla città, alcuni per aziende immobiliari.
Tratta personalmente i suoi lavori, dedicandosi ancora al bianconero su pellicola.
Nel 2025 ha prodotto a Pescara 3 concerti di musica classica ed acustica per i 100 anni del Dopolavoro Ferroviario, producendo anche un CD dell’ultimo concerto, con annessa una sua mostra fotografica nei locali del DLF.
Ultimamente ha tenuto corsi di fotografia legati alla lingua inglese per i detenuti del carcere di San Donato a Pescara.
Vive tra Pescara, Villalago (AQ) e Berlino Est.

Travel, Music and Indelible Shots
Carlo Pavone was born in Pescara.
A former FS train driver with a degree in Foreign Languages ​​and Literature, he began taking photographs at a young age, favoring the narrative, through images, of the most famous and recognizable literary locations. He was head of the Imaging section of the Anglo-Italian cultural association BRITANNIA. In addition to reporting on his numerous travels, he has dedicated himself for years to stage photography, covering jazz, theater, dance, and concerts. He collaborates with various theaters and international festivals. His latest exhibition was in Valtellina as part of the VALTELLINA JAZZ FESTIVAL, where he presented images of Pescara Jazz, an international festival, the first of its kind in Europe. He has produced several features for the TCI monthly magazine, Quì Touring, on the Sulmona-Carpinone railway line, the Trans-Siberian Railway of Italy, one of the most beautiful railways in Europe. He co-authored the book ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF ALTITUDE, on the occasion of the centenary of the Sulmona-Carpinone line, published by the Italian State Railways. He has also produced numerous photoshoots for the magazine D’ABRUZZO. As head of the SCUOLA-FERROVIA project, he has created numerous calendars and audiovisuals brought to schools. Among the most important photographic exhibitions he has held are those for the Britannia association (NO MAN IS AN ISLAND), one on all the most important international artists who have visited Abruzzo (ABRUZZO ON STAGE), and one on literary sites in Russia (PLACES OF THE RUSSIAN SOUL). An exhibition of the most significant sites in Abruzzo is currently being organized in Berlin. He has already produced numerous calendars on the city in Berlin, some for real estate companies.
He personally handles his work, still focusing on black and white film.
In 2025, he produced three classical and acoustic music concerts in Pescara for the 100th anniversary of Dopolavoro Ferroviario, also producing a CD of the last concert, accompanied by a photography exhibition at the DLF.
He has recently taught photography courses in English for inmates at the San Donato prison in Pescara.
He lives between Pescara, Villalago (AQ), and East Berlin.
